The Meeting Place
In cultures all across the world, the Fae are described as powerful and enigmatic creatures that, depending on the person telling the story, could either be the author of a person's best luck or worst fate.
The spaces in our world the Fae use to congregate and move between their realm and ours have long been considered sacred and hallowed ground.
The Faerie Tree is an exploration of light and shadow in an end-table-sized form factor. Fourteen Faerie lights dance with organic rhythm through the limbs of the copper tree producing a beautiful interplay of illumination and piercing shadow. The activity level of the faeries is controllable from the base.
ELDER TREE
The Ancient
The Elder Tree is a one-off project with the intent of making a centerpiece-sized faerie tree which I first started in 2018 and completed in 2026. It is powered by an Atmel ATmega 2560 and features a deep-blue patina, 54 faerie lights and a tin base.
CRYSTAL GARDEN
Shiny stones
The crystal gardens are a different form of the same exploration I had with the faerie trees. They have been made using various kinds of quartz, amethyst, and even tumbled glass. They are less bright than the faerie trees, making them ideal for spaces where their mesmerizing qualities are desired to be minimally intrusive.
